First anniversary…

Today was always going to be the first difficult day.  Mum is doing remarkably well.

We all seemed to gravitated to Mum’s house today and we spent the day remembering Dad and enjoying the Millie Mai’s achievements, clapping hands, splashing water, tentative waves and I think we even heard her say Mum mum mum, or at least Mel is convinced she did!!

Thought I had better start preparing some workshops, I will be running a dying day on the 24th July (think it is the 24th) so thought I better do some prep for it.

When I have been on a dying workshop I go home with lovely pieces of fabric but have no idea what I am going to do with them, so I have decided we will dye fabric for a project that they can then go home and complete.

Cant take credit for the design, stole this from Sharne’s Hunderwasser quilt

designDyded fabric and have started to apply this.

When I got back from Mum’s there was a card through the door saying that flowers had been left at no. 7 for me

These are from the Chelmsford Embroiders Guild, thank you ladies a very kind thought that is much appreciated xxx

And finally, my finished wall hanging, I have been working on it on and off over the last weeks, think I am pleased with it, but at the moment the only place that I can hang it is in the shower!!
