Hadn’t realised it was so long since I last blogged

A busy few weeks.

Finished my first bit of the teacher training, now waiting to hear if my assignments are up to scratch.

3 weeks Easter break from the Thursday afternoon P&Q group, will miss that, but as things have turned out it has made life easier as have had the family down for a few days. Reason – Stephen’s funeral was last Tuesday. Les, Chris and the girls gave him a wonderful send off.

It was lovely to see Holly and Gus, it was very quite when they all went home.

Started stitching my Barbed Wire piece and the tension on my machine kept altering at will, so not happy with result, so will be taking it over to Mr Woods tomorrow after work for a bit of tlc!

I have been pontificating as to whether I can get away with the poor stitching as I have invested about 2 full days into the piece so far and dont really want to waste that time. But in my heart of hearts I know it is wrong, so took the plungeDSCF1440 tonight and dyed another piece of fabric and started re-drawing my design!!

Perks of not having a husband/partner, being able to dye all that fabric! What are the circles for?

The circles, well, the inspiration came from Sara Impey's work, and this is my take on her style - I am just hoping it is going to work, the circles will be alternately stitched very closely and the others have words relating to barriers, printed onto silk and and applied. Well that is the plan!
