Jersey Boys and Ferrers Quilters

 IMG_5921 IMG_5922 IMG_5923

Deb, Stacey and Jay went to see Jersey Boys last night, a trip organised by work, loads of fun.  Picnic on the coach and one glass of wine and I was ready to start singing, and any one who knows me will know that is something not to be endured lightly!!

Then up early, as teaching my Ploughed Field workshop at Ferrers Quilters today.  Remembered camera this morning

After my lovely walk the eyes were fully opened – pretty cold out there this morning.

Packed car and off to South Woodham Ferrers.  It was a bit wired running a workshop for this lot, as this was one of the first group that Sharne and I joined when we were learning the finer details of P&Q but did not have time to continue with them when we decided to do our C&Gs.  I had a lovely day and it was especially nice to have the opportunity to meet up with old friends again.

Now is this what you would expect to see laid out on the table for a quilting day…  bleach, vinegar, oil sticks and paints etc. No, but we made some lovely ploughed fields with them.

Then we got down to ripping fabric and stitching it back together again.

stitching torn bits back together again

painting         not sure if this is ok with H&Sbut the cake that Ann bought us was lovely...  didnt they do well  IMG_5940IMG_5938

And a special big thank you to our Mum for the day who kept us supplied with tea, coffee and goodies all day long.

Fabulous day, tomorrow up early again as Sharne and I are off to Cottenham…………..

Thank goodness I booked Monday off :-)

What a fun weekend, I think you will need Monday off! Ploughed fields look great, they are a lovely bunch of girls, wonder if they will get the 'painted quilt' bug now. I know you inspired quite a few in Ladybugs.
